My mom is a big inspiration to me. I am in awe by all she did to raise us kids. I am still not sure how she did it. I always knew that we didn't have very much money growing up but I never wanted for anything. She always found a way to make things work out. I couldn't imagine working so many hours a day and then coming home to four kids that depend on me and not having any support of a husband. I have come to really appreciate her as I have become a mother. It amazes me how much James needs from me. I don't think I would have the strength to do it all on my own. Thanks mom for all you have done for me & for teaching me to rely on my Heavenly Father as a source of strength. Thanks for the way you love James and do so much to be apart of his life, even though you live in a completely different state! You are an amazing mom and grandma!!! I love you!!!

Day 2
I know I am late on this one but here it is:
Day 2- Post a picture of someone you have been close with for a long time.
Day 2- Post a picture of someone you have been close with for a long time.
I chose two people. The first on is my Best Friend Ashley Giddings. She and I have been friends since the 2nd grade and now get to watch our kids be friends too! She has been there for me through so many things in my life. She has been there to celebrate to good times and to let me cry on her shoulder through the hard times. All girls need a good best friend in her life and I am glad that Ashley has been in mine! I look forward to the many more years of friendship!
This is the most recent picture I have of the two of us.
This was taken days before I had James.

The second person is of course my sweet husband, Mike! We originally met at the young age of 14 and our paths crossed many times before we finally started dating 10 years later. I am so glad to be married to a man that has such a kind heart. He is very patient with me and makes me feel so loved and secure. I love watching him play with James and love watching James try to mimic everything Mike does! I am glad that if James is going to mimic someone that it is Mike. He is a good man and a great role model for James. I am excited to see him with a little girl in just a couple of months! I know that she will instantly have daddy wrapped around her finger! I am so glad that I have all eternity to spend with him!!!
I could have done a more recent picture but I love this one from our wedding!!!

Here are some pictures that I thought were kind of fun...
James deciding that he is ready for a nap.
He asked for a bottle, I gave it to him & he went & laid down in the middle of the floor.

Disneyland with Grandma
James, my mom & I went to Disneyland on the busiest day of all time! They said on the news that they stopped selling tickets into the park by 10am! That is crazy!!! I knew it was extra crowded when we were there but didn't know it was that crowded. However, nothing could bring us down! We were at the happiest place on Earth with my favorite little boy (I'm glad that I am having a girl, so James can continue to be my "favorite little boy")! Anyways, we had a fabulous time & James LOVED Disneyland. He is not a fan of waiting in line, but who is! We went on three rides and the carousel twice. We went to Club 33 for lunch. As always, the food was great but we learned that we will never take a one year old to such a fancy restaurant again! James was pretty good at the lunch but had a little too much energy and the food was a little too gourmet for his liking. After lunch we watched some pirates singing outside Pirates of the Caribbean, then put James in his stroller with a blanket over it so he could take a nap. He napped for an hour while mom and I sat on a bench, people watched, visited & rested out legs! Then it was off to Toon Town! James loved Toon Town. There were a lot of the characters walking around so he got to see some of his buddies from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Then we watched a Parade (which James LOVED!), went on the Peter Pan Ride, rode the carousel one last time and called it a day! My cousin Ambyr works at Mimi's Cafe across the street from Disneyland so we went there for dinner & to say "Hi". Then I got James in his PJ's, put him in his car seat and we went home to my mom's, where James slept like he has never slept before! He was so worn out and tired, but to my surprise he wasn't grumpy tired (I had visions of James being over tired & throwing huge fits all the way home). He was actually very happy and content! I need to find ways to ware him out like that more often!!! Overall, it was a very fun day, James was so good & happy, and it was a nice memory to make with my mom.

Christmas 2010
This year we went to California for Christmas. We had a lot of fun & James got spoiled rotten! I am bummed that I didn't take more pictures but oh well! We spent Christmas Eve at My Grandma Gonzales' house. We had our traditional tamales dinner (YUM!), visited & opened presents. We all got a lot of great gifts but it was really fun to watch James open his giant Tigger from Grandpa & Winnie the Pooh blanket from Great grandma! Christmas day we spent at my mom's house. When we came down my mom's stairs James had a Cozy Coop Car all set up next to the tree from Grandma! It was so funny to watch him! I tried to upload the video of him seeing his car but it was taking way too long. All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas spent with loved ones.

Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!!

Baby Girl
My mom, Lance and I went to a place in Murrieta today so they could see baby girl on an ultrasound. It was so much fun. Lance had given me some sour gummy bears before the ultra sound and wow, was my little girl active or what! She was all over the place. The ultrasound tech was so surprised at how busy my little girl is. I am so excited for her to join our family. She was so cute during the ultrasound! I could not be happier about having both a son and a daughter. Here are a few pictures from today:

We are having...
A GIRL!!!!
We are so excited to have our little girl join our family in may! It is fun to teach James that he is going to have a baby sister soon. It has also been a big step in helping me connect & believe that this pregnancy is real! I have felt very guilty because I felt so connected to to James very early in my pregnancy with him but have not felt that way this time. A big part of my late connection is that I didn't want to get my hopes up. This pregnancy happened so much easier than it did with James that it felt too good to be true. But my excitement and connection is growing every day now. I am excited about buying girl stuff, my belly is starting to grow more and more each day & the past few days I have felt her moving around. Feeling her movements have been so exciting! It is little reminders that she is there and connected to me. I can't wait for Mike & James to feel her move too. James is already starting to notice changes. Every since my belly popped out James will stick his tummy out and laugh! It is so cute!!! I am excited that James will have a little sister and that she will have him to look after her and protect her! I will post belly pictures soon!
