American Idol

So, I know that I probably watch too much tv but at the end of the day it is my favorite thing! Anyways, I am not a fan of the way they are doing American Idol this year. I like the new judge Kara but I don't like watching everyone but 3 people getting kicked off each week. That was the most depressing results show last week. I don't like that they randomly put the contestants in 3 groups of 12 and then each week kicking off the entire group but 3. I am interested in who will be chosen for the 3 wild cards though. I don't know if this bothers anyone else but I am not big on changing something that is already doing well. Well, there is my venting session!

So anyone that has been watching the Bachelor this year knows that it has been a good one! Jill was sent home last week and that was a big surprise but I am just glad the my favorite is still there! I hope he picks Melissa!!! She is so cute and I think she really has fallen in love with him and will be great for him and Ty! I can not wait for the next two mondays to see all that transpires! I can't beleive that Dianna comes back (the bachelorett from last year that sent him packing)! I wonder if she really is coming back to get him back in her life? I hope he doesn't choose her because she has already crushed his heart once and I really like Melissa!

Valentines Day

As of Valentines morning Mike and I had not made any plans to celebrate. Then last minute we decided to go to Salt Lake for the evening. It ended up being such a great evening! We went to "The Garden" (a resturaunt on the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building), walked around Temple Square and went to a movie. Dinner was so tasty!!! It was totally worth the hour wait. Temple Square was absolutly BEAUTIFUL! We had planned on it being a snow storm that night but the snow ended early and the skies were so beautiful as the sun setted behind the Temple. We had such a great time at Temple Square and had great conversation (as usual). Then we went to see the movie "Push". I don't want to give anything away for anyone that may want to see it but it was intense and good but had a little let down at the end. Overall, it was a nice relaxing eveneing and a good time! I hope everyone elses Valentines Day was wonderful too!!!

Gibert's Sience Fair

Gilbert had his Sience Fair this week. He did such a great job. He got 3 stars which is AWESOME!!! He built an electro magnent and then did a test to see if the amount of coils he wrapped around a nail increased the amout of power of the magenent. In conclusion the amount of coils did matter. His explination was much better than mine but that was about as much as I comprehended from his presentation. It is sad when a 10 year old uses bigger words than me! He is probably the smartest kid I have ever met!!! Great job Gilly!!!

Mutual Night at the BYU Game

Last Wednesday Night we went to the BYU vs. Colorado Basket Ball Game. To be completely honest the game itself was not all that much fun because BYU destroyed Colorado the entire game. Pretty sad day for Colorado (they could not make a basket to save their life that night)! I am a huge sport fan though. I love the atmosphere of sporting events and BYU fans make things all the more fun. However, Mike and I have decided since living in Utah that we are Utes Fans. Living in Utah does that to you...you either become the biggest BYU fan or you become a Utes fan and it is an unwritten law that you have to choose a school in order to live in this state! There is no sitting on the fence when it comes to Utah and their colleges! So sorry all you BYU fans! We have nothing against you but we just cheer for a school that wins more than it loses!!! HeHeHe!!! Anyways, we supported and cheered for BYU and made the best of a very slow basket ball game.

On Valentines Day our family started working on putting in new wood flooring in the house. I chose the job as the documenter! Hey, someone had to do it!!! Anyways, I got some great shots of the event! The house is really starting to look so great!

Welcome back to Young Womens!

I am so excited, I just got called last week to be the Mia Maids Advisor!!! I have such wonderful memories of Young Womens and I am excited to be back!!! The girls are so sweet and so full of life! An added bonus is that Megan (my sister in law) is in my class!

Brooklyns 1st Birthday

Brooklynn had her 1st Birthday in January and we got to go to her cute little birthday party. She was so darn cute! I can't believe a year flew by so fast! She is growing up and becoming such a smart and sweet little girl. Ashley has done such an amazing job raising her! I have been so proud watching Ashley fulfill her calling as a mother. She has taught me so much about raising a child. I feel so much more prepared to be a mother. I feel so blessed to have Ashley as my best friend. She has always been there for me and supports me in so may ways (ever since 2nd grade)! I am so lucky to have her in my life. Husbands are great and wonderful, but every girl needs their best girlfriend! I love you Ash and thank you so much for letting me be a part of little Brooklynn's life! She is such a Gem!!!

Brianne's visit & New Years Eve Party

Okay, I know I have been the worst blogger ever!!! I have felt like I didn't have anything fun to blog. Then the other day, I finally loaded my pictures on my computer and realized that I have done a few fun things! Brianne came back to Utah with us after Christmas and I think we did more things in those few days than we have ever done the entire time living here.

CNA School

In Janurary I enrolled in a CNA School (Certified Nurses Assistant). It was really fun and inspired me in a lot of ways. I am now looking into nursing school/programs and plan on enrolling in the next year or so. I am really excited!!!
