A Blogger's Gide

I have had a lot of friends ask me how to do things on their blog like change the layout, add pictures, music, add slideshow/videos, ect. So I decided to start another blog to help anyone that has any questions. The site is: http://www.help-u-blog.blogspot.com/. Feel free to comment and ask any questions you might have. I want to be able to help as much as I can. The blogging world is so much fun but can get very frustrating at times.

What I have been up to and Happy Birthday to many family members!

If you read my blog about my last day at Choicepoint I wrote about how I had so much free time and that I didn't know what to do with it. Well, I ended up being busier than I thought I would be. I tried a few new recipes, spent some quality time with Mike, helped Ashley with little baby Brooklynn and getting packed and ready for all of us to move down to California. Paking a house with a three month old is a little more complicated than when it is just you. It has been a fun past two weeks. I am really excited to drive down to California tomorrow to start my new job and of course to be closer to my family! I can't wait to see everyone. Plus, it will be really fun to be with everyone for all the birthdays. Brianne's birthday is tomorrow on April 25th, my dad and my step sister Aeryka's are both on April 30th, mine is the next day on May 1st, my step-sister Becca's is May 7th, Lance's is on May 11th and my mom's is the next day on May 12th. So we will have a few weeks of celebration. Not to mention Mother's Day is on Lance's birthday, May 11th!

"The Davids" on American Idol

Okay, so it ia all about "The Davids" on American Idol! THis week was amazing. David Archuleta sang beautifully (like he always does) and David Cook proved that he is more than just a "Rocker"! They were awesome. Hope you enjoy the youtube clips of both of them!

This is Michael McLean's song Titled "Who Will Be the Real Hero". I love this song.

Michael McLean Concert

Mike and I were given tickets to a Michael McLean Concert from a great friend Ryan Mahoney. It was put on by David Leavitt. David is running for Congress in Utah. Anyways, it was so much fun. We listened to Michael McLean, David Osmond (Donny Osmond's nephew), B. Murphy & John Batdorf. It was amazing and so entertaining. Mike and I had such a great time.

My Last Day at Choicepoint

My Cubicle before I packed up.

My last day was bitter-sweet. I am glad to have a little time off before I move down to California for my summer job. However, I have really enjoyed working at Choicepoint. I have made some good friends that were hard to leave behind. I have learned a lot working there. I have learned how to use different computer programs and also about Star Trek! (that's for you Christine) I found it a lot harder to leave than I had planned on. I loved my little cubicle as well. I have posted my before and after shot of my cube. I have also realized that I don't know what to do with all my extra time. On Monday I had all my laundry done by noon and didn't have a clue what to do after that. So I read some of my book for a little while. Then, luckily, Ashley needed some help with Brooklynn while she took her dad to the airport. While Brooklynn was sleeping I decided to try a new recipe for dinner. We had homemade Chicken Alfredo. It was a success. Today, I have not done one productive thing. I feel like such a slacker! I am however going to go to the grocery store and make dinner as soon as I am done with this blog. Tonight we are having homemade French Bread Pizza. It will be yummy as always! Well, I better get to the store but if anyone has any good ideas on what to do with free time (that is productive) let me know!

Our Crazy Night with the Cough Syrup

The past two weeks have been exhausting for me. I have had my normal 8 hours a day work and then on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday I have had an extra 4 hours (each day) of training for my new job that I will be doing in the summer. The training has gone well and I feel like I am catching on pretty well but it is a lot of information! My brain is on information overload! Anyways, the past few nights I have been coughing a lot. At about four this morning I was coughing really hard so Mike got up and got me some cough syrup. I was so out of it that when I went to get up to take it I knocked the cough syrup out of Mike's hands and it went EVERYWHERE! I was so tired and could hardly function. I started to get emotional (that is what I do when I am over tired and not feeling well) and I pretty much useless at helping clean up. While Mike was cleaning everything up I poured some more cough syrup and took it. A few minutes later I felt so sick and nauseous. I was so frustrated but Mike was so patient with me. He cleaned up all the syrup without any complaining. He called and left a message for my work letting them know that I would be coming in a little late because I desperately needed some sleep, he reset the alarm so I could sleep in a little longer, and then he put a clean sheet on the bed and cuddled with me until we both fell asleep. I can't even express how grateful I am to be married to a man that is so kind and loving. He didn't get frustrated with me or even get mad at me for spilling the cough syrup everywhere. I am lucky to have such a patient and sweet man by my side. I am also glad that I got to sleep in this morning!

Mike's Beard

Mike decided to grow a beard. He said that he wasn't going to shave until his health improved. As you can tell his health is improving! I asked him what made him decide to finally shave and he said it was because he really liked the doctor he saw today. I am so happy! He looks great! I will put a picture of his clean-cut face later.

I was in the middle of 8th grade, getting excited to become a high schooler. I was at that awkward, hideous stage in my life. I despise all pictures that came from that time! 1. Set up a non-profit organization to find the cure for Crohns.
2. Buy some land so that we can have a farm & a garden
3. Travel the world
4. Start a home for Single mom's so they can go to school and be able to take care of their family with out feeling alone and overwhelmed.
5. Start a scholarship foundation for families that have little means, and kids that work hard but struggle in school can still get an education! I would start working with them in High School so that they can have hope for the future.

5 things people don't know about me..........

2. I used to dream about being an Olympic Gymnast and winning the Gold Medal.
