Update for the week...

On Monday we had another doctor appointment. We were able to hear our sweet little baby's heartbeat and everything sounds great! It was really fun to hear it but they used the Doppler and Mike and I have gotten used to seeing our baby in an ultrasound at each appointment that it was weird not to see the baby. I am so glad that we heard it though. I have been feeling a lot better the past few days so I was starting to worry that something was wrong. But that is just me being paranoid! So moral of the story...the baby is doing great, and I am feeling great! Yay, for second trimesters!!!

As for Michael, in between his studying for finals he has been reading the Twilight series! It has been so much fun! He is loving the books and I can finally talk to him about them! He reads out loud to Puma and I before bed most nights and we really enjoy it. Puma and I always fall asleep though! But it is great bonding moments!

Today was a nice day. It was sunny and beautiful outside and Michael and I went to the Temple. Which is always a treat. One of my favorite things about going in the afternoon is seeing all the sweet elderly couples attending the temple together! Wheelchairs and all they are there serving the Lord. I feel like I have so much to learn from them.

I am also really excited because I am going to Women's Conference this weekend. My mother in law bought me a ticket to attend with her for my birthday! I am so excited. It is going to be such an inspiring weekend.

Salina & Matt's Wedding

Over the weekend Mike and I were able to go to Logan for Salina's Wedding Reception. Salina is a family friend from Germany and lucky for us she got married here! It was fun to see her and her family. Salina was such a beautiful bride and their reception was wonderful! Congrats Salina and Matt!!!

Puma's Long Lost Twin

We received an email from Patrick today that was pretty funny! He is currently working on the Embassy in Lithuania. Anyways, (jokingly) he asked if we had lost Puma...because he found her in Lithuania! So I am convinced that it is her long lost twin, separated at birth! Apparently Puma's twin has a boyfriend that was with her too.

It's the Little Moments

Michael and I just relaxed and enjoyed the evening last night. Of course Puma joined us. There was nothing extremely exciting about the evening but it was just nice to be together! I love him so much and enjoy spending time as our little family. Me, Michael, Puma and our little growing baby! We can't wait to have our sweet baby here with us!

Brotherly Love

A few weeks ago Michael came across his old Trumpet. It was fun to watch him play it and even more fun to watch him teach Gilbert how to play. They were so cute!

2nd Doctors Appointment

We had another appointment today. As usual it was great. I started out by finding out that I have lost 5 pounds. I don't know if it is bad but I was secretly excited. I guess it is not a secret anymore! HeHe! Anyways, the doctor didn't seem to mind so I am going to continue to be excited! He said that it is perfectly normal to lose weight at the beginning. Then we did an ultrasound. It was so fun to see how much my baby has grown and see the little heartbeat again. My next appointment we will get to hear the heartbeat!!! The doctor said that everything looked great and that my chances of miscarrying at this point are very low. Overall, it was a great appointment! It is cray how much you can love someone that you have never met...that has not even been born yet!

Cedar City with the Fam

This weekend was Michael's cousin Russell's missionary farewell. We had a great time. We stayed at Jess and Ben (sister & brother in-law) and as usual had a fun time with them! There is never a dull moment with Ben! He is one of the funniest people ever! Russell gave a great talk about the Atonement at church. He is so prepared for his mission. I know he will be a great missionary and bless the lives of the many people he will come in contact with in Argentina. I am so excited for him! Good luck Russell! You will be in our prayers!

I miss California!

I had a wonderful time visiting family and friends in sunny California! It is snowing here now so I can't help but miss the beautiful California weather. Anyways, here is my visit in a nutshell... I went to Lance's track meet and got totally burnt in what seemed like minutes. But it was totally worth it! It was fun to see Lance and watch him in his element. Then dad took me home to my mom's house and we had a ton of family over. My grandma's friend "Deen-deen" came and made her famous mexican food. It looked great and I was able to eat half an enchilada. I wish I could have eaten more but the baby doesn't seem to like me eating! Then the next day mom, Beenie and I got pedicures and went to Brit and John's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful! And they couldn't have asked for better weather! Congrats you newlyweds!!! Sunday I went to Primary with my mom. I forgot how fun primary was. My mom brought popcorn for all the kids and in sharing time the Bishop asked the kids why we are nicer to our friends than to our brothers and sisters and a smart little kid in my mom's class raised his hand and in all seriousness said "Well that is not entirely true because we are all brothers and sisters." I thought I was going to die of laughter. It defiantly caught the Bishop off guard too! Monday, I mostly relaxed! Then Rachelle picked me up and we went to her house. I can't believe how big her little boy Trevor is! He is just too cute. And Natalie (her brand new baby girl) is just as sweet as ever. I could just hold her all day! Then my mom and I went to Mellanie's house. I got to meet beautiful little Avery. It was so good to see Mel. It had been too long! Avery is such a sweet baby and Mellanie was such a glowing new mother. It was so much fun to catch up with her. Tuesday came and it was time to go. My flight wasn't until the evening so we went and visited Aunt Soni. Which is always fun! We went to lunch at Rubys (one of my favorite hamburger places). It was so tasty and great company!!! Overall, I had a GREAT time! I can't wait to go back! Thanks mom for making this fun trip happen! It was sooooooo much needed!!!!

Sickness Brings Happiness

I have been pretty darn sick the last few weeks and nothing could make me happier! Every moment I am sick is a reminder that I am still pregnant. Words cannot express how excited we are to have this little bundle of joy coming our way! I pray everyday that my baby is growing strong and healthy. The only thing I wish is that I could find some food that smells and tastes good! It is so hard to get my little baby the nutrients that it needs when I can't eat anything! My sweet mother in law has been trying so hard to make food for me that doesn't make me sick. The entire family has been so sweet and has been taking such good care of me! They have just been so wonderful and I feel so blessed to have them all so close by. Michael has been so great at handling my fun mood swings! He has been so kind and patient with me. It is so much fun to see his excitement as I am experiencing the joys of pregnancy. He gets so excited. My favorite thing is when I catch him starring at me and I ask him what he is looking at and He just smiles and says "I can't believe we are finally going to have a baby"! He is just so cute! I forget that he doesn't feel that changes that I do. It is all just so exciting!

On another note, I am also excited because my mom is flying me home to California this week! I will miss Mike (of course) but I am sooooo excited to see my family! I get to go to Lance's track meet with my dad, spend much needed quality time with my mom and Beenie girl, be there for Rob's birthday, see Rachelle and Mellanie and their cute little babies and attend my cousin Brittney's wedding! Wow, I am going to be exhausted!!! I am used to my daily routine of sleeping in all morning, being sick all day and not really doing much of anything! But it will be fun! Then when I get back to Utah I have my next doctors appointment on March 30th! Soooo many exciting things!!!

Our Little Blessing

Michael and I have been hoping to start a family ever since we got married. We miscarried about 2 years ago and have been trying to get pregnant off an on since then. It has been a huge emotional struggle for me. I have always felt that my calling in life was to be a mother and frustrated when it wasn't happening for me. Well, that sadness has been replaced with the most JOY I have ever felt! We are PREGNANT!!! Today we had our first doctors appointment. It was amazing! The doctor did an Ultrasound so we were able see our little baby and it's very cute heartbeat! I cannot even express the emotions that came over me as we saw our little one's heartbeat. It just made everything so real! Our baby is due on Oct. 29th, 2009! We cannot wait! Thank you to everyone that has been so supportive of us and have continually prayed for us. We Love You!!!
