Just hanging out at home...

Today James wanted to play in his activity thing. He hasn't played in it since he started walking seven months ago. But for some reason he really wanted to play in it today. He was so cute. He played for at least ten minutes in there and then went back and played in it a second time. What a funny kid!

Yesterday morning James insisted on not wearing his pants after we changed his diaper. Then a few minutes later he came out of his room with his shoes and wanted Mike to put them on him. He never wants to wear shoes so that was pretty funny! He played around the house like this for and hour or two, until I had to get him ready for church. This is the best picture I could get of him because he was literally running around the house all morning! The only reason I go this picture is because I started singing a song that he has little actions to. This picture is in the middle of his clapping.

I just can't get enough of my silly little boy!

Our Zoo Trip

A few days ago our friends KC & Brookie invited us to go to the Hogal Zoo with them. We had such a fun time. I love that you can seriously see everything in the zoo in about two hours. It makes for a fun but quick trip. James' favorite part was riding the carousel. I wish I could have one of these in my house! He would ride it all day if he could! I wish I would have taken more pictures but James is hard to get pictures of these days. He does not sit still at all!!!

My Cool Little Man

I have been trying for months to get James to wear his sunglasses and had no success. Well, the other day I tried again & he loved them!!! He didn't want to ever take them off. He wore them around the house, in the car and at story time at the library. He was so dang cute and looked like a cool dude!!!

James and Puma

James is so funny with Puma. He just LOVES her so much! He is always trying to pick her up, give her hugs or snuggle with her (by laying on top of her). Puma is a pretty good sport because she has never attacked him. She will go hide somewhere if she doesn't want to be bothered by him but it surprises me how much she stays around to be tormented. The other day, I was cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast and I looked over to see James putting his favorite blanket on Puma. It was so cute so I grabbed the camera and at least got a picture of Puma with James' blanket on her. James is going to be a good and helpful big brother! I'm so glad Puma is around so James can learn to be soft before baby sister gets here!!!

Baby Bump Comparison

This Pregnancy Preggers w/ James

So far I have been much smaller than I was with James. I have only gained 6 pounds this pregnancy but I know I will gain much more in the upcoming nine weeks. I had gained ten pounds at this point with James. I don't really know what is different this time except that I was much more sick in the beginning of this pregnancy and I have a busy one year old to chase around/keep up with. Here are are few things I am experiencing:

*Braxton Hicks are pretty regular
*Still get nauseous every once in a while
*Chili Dogs are my biggest craving
*Baby Girl is extremely active... She will have no problem keeping up with James
*Insomnia has hit
*I have a hard time getting comfortable at all times (sitting, standing, laying down, you name it!)
*Baby Girl is camped out on my spine so I have a lot of lower back pain but at least she doesn't cut off my air supply like James did ;)
*I am exhausted all the time! (that could be due to having a one year old and school)
*I finally believe that I am indeed pregnant & will have a baby girl in about 9 weeks or less
*Starting to get excited to have a little girl
*Way more nervous/scared about giving birth than I was with James... I think ignorance is bliss in some cases!

I'm so glad when daddy comes home...

James LOVES his daddy! He follows Mike everywhere & will copy anything that Mike does. It is so cute!!!

James put this wet towel on his head and was walking around
the living room laughing. It was hilarious!

James wanted to wear daddy's jacket. He kept bringing
it to Mike & having Mike put it on him.

James & daddy snuggling & watching Veggie Tales.
James always plays with his hair when he is tired.

James wanted to hang out in the bathroom while Mike was taking a shower.
He insisted on sitting in the basket so he could play with all the shampoos & body washes.
My friend Erika invited James and I to join her and her daughter Kaylee at the petting zoo. It was a lot of fun. The weather was not really willing to work with us but hey, at least it didn't snow or rain! Anyways, James really liked seeing the animals. I think the cow was his favorite. We tried out the pony ride but I think James is still a little young. He rode the pony for a little bit but then decided that he just wanted me to hold him as he watched the pony's walk in circles. Silly kid! After we saw all the animals we went inside to the kid play area. it was nice to just sit for a little bit and visit with Erika!

Kaylee showing James how to pet the cow

James still a little unsure about the cow

Happy Boy!

Running around

James was unwilling to let me get a decent picture of us with the pony

That's a little better

Me and my little man!

Thanks Erika & Kaylee for inviting us to come along! We will have to do it again sometime soon!

Valentines Morning

For Valentines Day, Mike and I got James a Giant Gorilla stuffed animal. We put it in his high chair so when he woke up in the morning he would find it. He was so funny, as soon as he saw the gorilla, he tried to climb up his high chair to get it. After I handed it to him he kept giving the gorilla hugs all morning! It was soooo cute! I just love my little man!

Our Breakfast:

Hugs for Mr. Gorilla

James was pinching the gorilla's nose & saying
"Honk, Honk" - funny kid

More hugs!

I hope everyone had a terrific Valentines Day & were able to spend it with loved ones!
