Big Boy Car Seat

I know you aren't supposed to put a kid in the stage 2 car seat until they are one but James outgrew his baby car seat and hated facing backwards. So we figured, he weighs enough and his birthday is close. He LOVES his new car seat! He can see out the window and see everyone in the car.

Wearing Dinner

My dad was in town for Conference this past weekend and one of the nights we decided to go to dinner at a Buffet. Well, I was extremely exhausted so Mike was in charge of James. He put James on the the table and James just ate from everyone's plate and drank from our water cups. Lets just say by the end of the meal James was completely soaked in water and was wearing all the food he ate! I was too tired to even care...which is not like me at all. But it turned out to be one of the few times I really enjoyed my food and being out to dinner since having James. Plus, James had the BEST time ever!

James is going to be a Big Brother!

This was planned but also very unexpected at the same time! We wanted to get pregnant around James' 1st birthday (which is coming up very soon on Oct. 19th). But I was nervous it was going to take a long time to get pregnant again. It took us two and a half years to get pregnant with James so you could imagine how shocked I was to find out we were pregnant the first month of trying. This part maybe TMI for some people so stop reading now if you want but here is the rest of the story: I fluctuate between a 28 day cycle and a 35 day cycle, so figuring out my ovulation schedule is next to impossible. My period was about 2 weeks late from a 35 day cycle when I finally took a pregnancy test. You could say I am pretty obsessive about taking pregnancy tests and have had many negative tests. So I expected this one to be negative too. I was sooooo surprised when the moment my pee hit the stick (sorry TMI) two very dark lines showed up instantly! It was positive! I was so excited and it was like 6am so I ran back in our room and jumped on the bed and woke up Mike to tell him the exciting news! What a crazy way to be woken up! We are soooo excited & I feel so blessed that it happened so fast! James is going to be such a great Big Brother!!!

The Little Man in the Mirror

When we were at my mom's house visiting James found a friend in the mirror. He had so much fun playing with his friend & he was so funny to watch!

But all the fun ended when James fell down! He looked at me and cried for sympathy but when I didn't give him what he was looking for...

He cried the only one who truly understood his pain... his friend in the mirror!

Basket of Fun

We were at Target waiting for my mom to develop pictures when James decided that he was done shopping. So I grabbed this basket and put him in it and he thought it was the funnest thing ever!

Fun Pictures from the summer...

I just can't get enough of that cute little face!

James' love for music and dancing

My favorite place to go is a store called Kid to Kid. It is a children refinement store so you can sell used baby/kid stuff or buy other peoples stuff. Anyways, James and I went a little while back and as soon as he saw this toy he practically dove out of my arms to play with it. I let him play with it for a bit and then tried to show him some other toys that were similar. He was not interested. Every time I put him down, he crawled over to this toy and started dancing. So I caved in a bought it! It has continued to entertain him everyday since. One of the best $12 I have spent!

Splash Park

One of James' favorite things to do this summer is go to the splash park. He loves the water and loves to splash! He doesn't mind water in his face or eyes either. It is pretty fun to play with him and watch him play too!
